So you’re on your way to some far off land or have a day off and want to visit San Diego from up north and you only have 24 hours to explore this beautiful city…what should you do? We’ve compiled a list of the places that are a must-see for those with only a day to spend in our wonderful city.
For breakfast, Hash House A-Go-Go is where it’s at. This eatery has something for everyone. They take classic breakfasts and throw on their own twist, “Twisted Farm Food” as they call it.Born and bred in San Diego, this company is now nationally recognized for their delicious, giant portions.
After you’ve had your fill, make your way over to the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma. Here you can sit on the rocks and enjoy a view of the bay and San Diego skyline complete with the mountains in the distance.
Another spot you can’t miss is the Maritime Museum down in the San Diego bay. Just off of Harbor Drive, you’ll see the Star of India, along with 3 other decommissioned ships and 2 submarines; all of which you’re able to board and explore. For one low price you get access to all 5 attractions, and the USS Midway!
When you’ve finished discovering the wonders of maritime, hop over to Mister A’s in Banker’s Hill for a delicious, high-end dining experience. This fantastic restaurant has daily menus and a view of the entire San Diego Bay. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but in the end it is totally worth it, especially for special occasions.
After dinner, hurry to the Shout House downtown to watch dueling pianos duke it out! The staff is incredibly friendly and the pianists welcome song requests. Spend the evening laughing and enjoying at one of the top rated bars in San Diego.
