5 Hacks to Improve Your Hotel Stay

Let the front desk know your arrival time when you book.

We’ve all been there. You arrive at the airport at noon, but hotel check-in is not until 4pm. Instead of waiting in the lobby for hours for your room to be ready, please let us know when you’ll be arriving. We will do our absolute best to work with our housekeeping team to ensure your room is ready when you arrive. If we don’t know about the early arrival, we will assume you are planning to check in at 4pm with our other guests. Even if you don’t remember to tell us when you book, you can call or email us to let us know anytime, even the day before your check-in. Any advance communication really helps.

Book direct and sign up for resort email lists for the best deal.

With most independent hotels and resorts, you actually get the best rate by calling the hotel or using a promo code on the hotel’s website. These are both forms of direct bookings with the hotel.
Hotels must advertise the same rates across all travel websites (Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.) and then pay a large commission to those companies. By booking direct, you save the hotel on commissions, and they pass those saving directly to you. At Winners Circle Resort, we can discount any online rate an additional 5-15%, depending on the season.

Tell the Front Desk of any special requests when you book.

Just as with arriving early, we would love to know if you want to be upstairs, near the elevator, poolside, or upgraded to a larger room. Let us know when you book and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
Also, keep in mind we want to know the priority of multiple requests. For example, if you want to be upstairs and poolside, if we only have one or the other, which is more important to you? If upstairs is an absolute must and poolside is just a preference, please tell us.

Don’t wait until check-out to let the hotel know of any issues.

If your bathroom light is flickering, your TV isn’t working, or you don’t have enough towels in your suite, please let us know as soon as possible. We want you to enjoy your stay with us. While we love hearing your feedback at check-out, if you have any issues at all, we want to fix it while you’re here. Our maintenance and housekeeping teams are amazing. They will do anything they can to ensure you’re 100% satisfied with your accommodations.
